These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and participation in sailing experiences offered under the LazyTackers brand and operated by:

By making a booking, paying a deposit, or participating in any LazyTackers experience, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

All weeks run from Saturday to Saturday, starting in Šimuni, Pag. Arrival is from 18:00 on Saturday. Check-out is by 09:00 the following Saturday.

1. Nature of the Experience

LazyTackers provides recreational sailing holidays and adventure experiences involving active participation in sailing activities under the supervision of a professional skipper.

Participants may be invited to take part in activities including, but not limited to:

  • steering the yacht,

  • sail handling,

  • line handling,

  • anchoring,

  • docking procedures,

  • navigation exercises,

  • safety drills,

  • general yacht operations.

Participation is voluntary and subject to the skipper's approval.

All weeks run from Saturday to Saturday, starting in Šimuni, Pag. Arrival is from 18:00 on Saturday. Check-out is by 09:00 the following Saturday.

2. Booking & Payment

2. Booking & Payment

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit.

Payment schedule:

  • 50% deposit upon booking

  • Remaining balance due no later than 45 days before departure

Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking without refund of amounts already paid.

3. Included Services

3. Included Services

Unless otherwise stated, the trip price includes:

  • accommodation onboard the yacht,

  • professional skipper services,

  • fuel,

  • marina fees,

  • tourist taxes,

  • bed linen,

  • towels,

  • final cleaning,

  • food and non-alcoholic beverages consumed onboard.

All weeks run from Saturday to Saturday, starting in Šimuni, Pag. Arrival is from 18:00 on Saturday. Check-out is by 09:00 the following Saturday.

4. Excluded Services

4. Excluded Services

The trip price does not include:

  • flights,

  • airport transfers,

  • travel insurance,

  • meals ashore,

  • drinks consumed ashore,

  • personal expenses,

  • optional excursions,

  • costs arising from personal circumstances.

5. Participant Cancellation

5. Participant Cancellation

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

Refund policy:

  • More than 100 days before departure: full refund of amounts paid

  • 61–100 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee

  • 31–60 days before departure: 75% cancellation fee

  • 30 days or less before departure: no refund

No refunds shall be granted for:

  • missed flights,

  • late arrivals,

  • voluntary withdrawal,

  • seasickness,

  • unused services,

  • early departure.

6. Transfer of Booking

6. Transfer of Booking

Participants may transfer their booking to another person up to 14 days before departure.

The replacement participant must satisfy all eligibility requirements and provide all requested information.

LazyTackers reserves the right to refuse a transfer where reasonable grounds exist.

7. Cancellation by LazyTackers

7. Cancellation by LazyTackers

LazyTackers reserves the right to cancel, postpone or modify a trip due to:

  • severe weather,

  • safety concerns,

  • vessel unavailability,

  • force majeure,

  • government restrictions,

  • insufficient participation,

  • circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Participants may be offered:

  • an alternative departure,

  • travel credit,

  • or refund of payments made directly to LazyTackers.

No liability shall exist for consequential costs including flights, accommodation, transfers, loss of income or other expenses.

8. Itinerary Changes

All itineraries, destinations and schedules are indicative only.

The skipper may modify routes, ports, destinations or activities due to:

  • weather,

  • sea conditions,

  • safety,

  • technical issues,

  • operational requirements.

Such changes do not entitle participants to refunds or compensation.

9. Skipper Authority

9. Skipper Authority

The skipper has absolute authority regarding:

  • safety,

  • navigation,

  • vessel operation,

  • alcohol consumption,

  • passenger conduct,

  • participation in sailing activities.

The skipper's decisions are final and binding.

All weeks run from Saturday to Saturday, starting in Šimuni, Pag. Arrival is from 18:00 on Saturday. Check-out is by 09:00 the following Saturday.

10. Medical Fitness

10. Medical Fitness

Participants confirm that they are physically and mentally fit to participate.

Participants must disclose any condition that may affect safety, including:

  • heart conditions,

  • epilepsy,

  • diabetes,

  • severe allergies,

  • pregnancy,

  • psychiatric conditions,

  • mobility limitations.

Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in removal from the trip without refund.

11. Travel Insurance

11. Travel Insurance

Valid travel insurance covering sailing activities is mandatory.

Insurance should include:

  • medical expenses,

  • emergency evacuation,

  • trip cancellation,

  • personal liability,

  • loss of personal belongings.

Participants may be denied boarding if adequate insurance cannot be demonstrated.

12. Assumption of Risk

12. Assumption of Risk

Participants acknowledge that sailing involves inherent risks including:

  • slips and falls,

  • rope injuries,

  • winch injuries,

  • boom impact,

  • falling overboard,

  • collisions,

  • grounding,

  • severe weather,

  • drowning,

  • equipment failure,

  • illness,

  • emergency evacuation.

Participation is voluntary and undertaken entirely at the participant's own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LazyTackers and ORTHOSAIL shall not be liable for:

  • personal injury,

  • illness,

  • death,

  • property loss,

  • baggage loss,

  • travel disruptions,

  • emotional distress,

  • indirect or consequential damages.

Any liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the participant for the specific trip.

14. Conduct On Board

14. Conduct On Board

Participants must behave responsibly and respectfully.

LazyTackers may remove a participant without refund for:

  • intoxication,

  • drug use,

  • harassment,

  • violence,

  • abusive behaviour,

  • repeated disregard of instructions,

  • conduct that endangers others.

15. Alcohol & Drugs

Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.

Alcohol consumption may be restricted or prohibited by the skipper whenever safety requires.

16. Damage to Property

Participants are liable for all damage caused through negligence, misconduct or failure to follow instructions.

Liability may include:

  • repair costs,

  • replacement costs,

  • legal costs,

  • administrative costs,

  • consequential losses.

17. Photography & Media

17. Photography & Media

Photographs and video recordings may be taken during trips.

Participants grant LazyTackers permission to use such material for marketing and promotional purposes unless written notice is provided before departure.

Personal data shall be processed in accordance with applicable GDPR requirements and Croatian law.

19. Force Majeure

19. Force Majeure

LazyTackers shall not be liable for delays, changes or cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control including:

  • extreme weather,

  • natural disasters,

  • war,

  • terrorism,

  • pandemics,

  • strikes,

  • government restrictions,

  • transport disruptions.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Croatian law.

Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Zagreb, Croatia.

By booking, paying a deposit or participating in a LazyTackers experience, the participant confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in full.
